Abstract. The article presents the results of experimental studies of moisture migration processes occurring in the pile environment after the installation of precast piles. It was established that ice formation on the pile surface occurs within the first seconds after pile installation and is independent of the degree of mortar strength gain. The main factors influencing ice formation on the pile surface are identified: the initial pile temperature, the mortar freezing point, and the initial mortar moisture content. Furthermore, a gradual decrease in the amount of moisture in the solid phase occurs due to its freezing and, with a decrease in the mortar freezing point, to strength gain. Once the mortar has set and begun to gain strength, this process slows down, and with a decrease in the mortar freezing point, the process slows significantly. A significant increase in the grade strength of mortars with the use of additives indicates the possibility of their use in grouting bored piles, with a preliminary assessment of the reduction in the strength properties of soils in the pile environment due to artificial salinization.
