Abstract. During the construction and reconstruction of unique, civil and industrial facilities, they often face the problem of a lack of bearing capacity of drilling piles. This problem is usually solved by geometrically increasing the parameters of the pile, for example, its length and/or diameter. This significantly increases the total cost of work, while reducing the efficiency of using piles. In some cases, increasing the dimensions of the pile is not feasible in practice due to the limited working area and difficult ground conditions. In such cases, other methods are used to increase the load-bearing capacity, which have a number of conditions that affect the result and on which the safety of the construction site depends. In this regard, analytical calculations of various methods for increasing the bearing capacity of bored piles both under the tip and along the lateral surface were carried out to identify their effectiveness and feasibility in conditions of weak soils in St. Petersburg in accordance with the current regulatory documentation on pile foundations. The study of these methods is necessary for more efficient use of pile foundations both in conditions of new construction and for reconstructed buildings and structures. The article presents solutions to increase the bearing capacity of bored piles, briefly describes the production technology, and analyzes their impact on surrounding soils and the effectiveness of increasing the perceived pile load.
Keywords: bored pile, methods of increasing bearing capacity, evaluation of the effectiveness of methods of increasing bearing capacity, reinforcement of peri-pile soil, weak soils, influence of technological processes
