Abstract. The paper addresses current issues of ensuring the normal operation of construction facilities in environments with varying categories of exposure aggressiveness. An innovative approach is presented to assuring corrosion protectability of structural steel based on a comprehensive analysis of requirements in the field of resource saving, risk assessment, technical and economic protection of construction facilities. Systematized is existing theoretical and experimental research on assessing regulatory indicators of reliability and safety for steel structures subject to corrosion wear. Shown is the necessity of applying predictive analytics methods for corrosion failure risks to monitor and diagnose the mechanical safety of buildings and structures. Substantiated are the principles for managing corrosion protectability requirements with respect to designing the restoration of corrosion protection during the operation and reconstruction of construction facilities. The use of a matrix-based approach is proposed for the parametric standardization of corrosion protection measures for steel structures exposed to moderately and highly aggressive environments. The use of additional statistical information based on the results of monitoring the determining signs of corrosion throughout the life cycle of the facility ensures the required level of structural reliability. The proposed approach provides for identification of threats and capabilities of the planned measures to maintain operable state of system of corrosion protection of structural steel.
