Abstract. As of 2020, Iraq is one of the top ten date producing countries with an annual production volume of more than 715 thousand tons. Therefore, the problem of recycling date processing waste in the form of seeds is urgent in the country. The traditional way to recycle date stones is to grind them and heat them by calcining or burning them on fire, followed by using the resulting ash as fertilizer. The use of ash resulting from the burning of date stones to partially replace Portland cement as a binder in concrete mixes has a definite positive effect, since it reduces cement consumption. Moreover, it is more effective to use the resulting ash as a pozzolanic active additive in a binder compared to its use for fertilizing agricultural fields. As a result of the conducted experimental studies, it was found that burning date stones on fire makes it possible to obtain ash with greater pozzolanic activity than the ash formed as a result of calcintion.
