Abstract. The article presents the calculation of three types of rubber-metal vibration isolators: without holes, with one hole and with five holes. The advantages of using vibration isolators to improve the living conditions of people in buildings located near rail lines are considered. The influence of vibration protection on the technical and economic indicators of the design and construction of buildings and structures is shown. A comparative analysis of the effectiveness of vibration protection of rubber-metal vibration isolators with five holes (one in the center, four symmetrically at the corners), with one central hole and without them is carried out. Finite element models of rubber-metal vibration isolators with and without holes are constructed, and their characteristics are analyzed. The results of the study show that vibration isolators with several symmetrically arranged through holes are superior in a number of parameters to vibration isolators without holes, therefore they can be used for vibration isolation of buildings, especially in the case of delayed installation of vibration protection. The use of vibration isolation in the structural solutions of a building reduces the cost of its maintenance compared to a similar building without vibration isolation.
