Abstract. Despite the introduced standard on the basic principles of reliability, the real tools for the practical implementation of such a document in the design of building structures have not yet been developed. Research on this problem and the development of appropriate probabilistic models for forecasting and evaluating the reliability of building structures of buildings and structures in special design situations are needed. In this regard, a probabilistic model is proposed for calculating the risk of failure of a reinforced concrete frame with loss of stability of its elements caused by a special impact - the removal of one of the columns. The determination of critical forces in the compressed-curved columns of the frame in the considered two-stage mode of loading the frame with a static load and dynamic overloading from a sudden special impact was performed by the displacement method. At the same time, the level change in the stiffness of the frame elements due to cracking during loading of the structure is taken into account. A probabilistic model of the failure of frame elements after the sudden removal of one of the columns is constructed using the principle of equigradence. An example of determining the probability of loss of stability of a reinforced concrete frame structure under the considered loading mode is given and a comparison of calculated and experimental values of critical forces of loss of stability of the frame is performed.
