Abstract. Granite crushed stone is used for the manufacture of high-strength concretes. The physico-mechanical and rheological properties of granite can affect the properties of concrete, so it is important to know its actual strength and deformation characteristics. The article compares the properties of high-strength concrete and granite from two different deposits. Complete diagrams of compression deformation, tensile strength and deformability during bending, as well as creep of concrete and granite at a relative loading level are obtained. The changes in the modulus of deformation, the coefficient of transverse deformation and volumetric deformations during loading are analyzed. A significant difference between the deformation process of high-strength concrete and granite is noted. Despite the high compressive and tensile strength during bending, granite has a lower modulus of elasticity and lower creep. A significant flexural tensile strength of concrete was obtained, due to the low water-cement ratio in the composition of concrete. It has been established that by adjusting the properties of the components of the composition, it is possible to obtain concretes with a high modulus of elasticity and a low value of shrinkage and creep deformation, which is very important in the construction of high-rise buildings and pre-stressed structures.
