Abstract. An assessment of the technical conditions and economic feasibility of using beam-sheet piles as load-bearing structural elements of underground floors of buildings in civil construction has been carried out. The variants of sheet pile systems with a "wall in the ground" and the possibility of using them as bearing structures are compared. The urgent tasks of experimental and theoretical studies of the work of beam-sheet piles, the creation of methods for their calculation and design requirements for inclusion in regulatory documents are formulated. To use these piles in a dense urban environment, it is necessary to develop domestic equipment for static indentation that meets the requirements for loads for immersion and with the necessary grips so that the tongue reinforced with an I-beam can be loaded. There is also an open issue about the erasability of protective anticorrosive coatings when immersed in sandy soils.
