Abstract. The production of crushed stone from carbonate raw materials contributes to the formation of a significant amount of crushing screenings, the complex use of which, as a filler, in concrete is an urgent task. In hot dry weather conditions, it is advisable to use carbonate aggregates to increase the tensile strength of concrete and its crack resistance. To reduce the plastic shrinkage of the hardening concrete mixture and reduce the consumption of Portland cement, it is necessary to optimize the selection of the granulometry of aggregates and fillers with a continuous grain composition to create their dense packing, which ensures the least voidness of the mixture. The paper analyzes the granulometric composition of crushed stone, crushing screenings from carbonate raw materials and quartz sand, which showed that the granulometric composition of materials practically coincides with the reference Fuller curve. This method of designing the grain composition of aggregates based on modern software makes it possible to optimize the composition of concrete, increase its crack resistance by reducing the voidness of the concrete mixture and creating a rigid spatial frame capable of perceiving temperature-shrinkage deformations.
