Abstract. The actual problem of expanding the scope of application of alternative sources of renewable energy, when constructing and reconstructing industrial objects, is considered. As the main concept of energy saving, the use of the energy potential of surface air wind flows with the simultaneous formation of a wind-active type profile of an industrial building is proposed. The method of integrating wind power plants into the structure of a multi-span building is illustrated by examples of production facilities intended for construction and reconstruction. The paper shows the basic design solutions that ensure the effective placement of an additional wind power plant using wind turbines in a single scheme of the supporting frame of the complex. The recommended solutions are based on the use of modern patent developments of domestic technologists. A feature of the layout of wind turbine units is their design in the form of multi-row sections of the same type, installed in the upper dimensions of the spans of the production building. The research results show the possibility of a new approach to the creation of energy-efficient types of industrial buildings for various purposes. The prospects of conducting further comprehensive research in the field of methods of designing and constructing energy-efficient types of industrial buildings are substantiated.
