Abstract. One of the stages of calculating the load-bearing capacity of beams with corrugated walls (corrugators) in accordance with current regulations is the calculation of the total stability of the beam from the wall plane with the determination of the maximum load on the beam depending on the size of the beam elements and the distance between the points of loosening of the compressed shelf from the wall plane. In modern standards, the calculation of the overall stability of corrugated rollers is performed by calculating the overall longitudinal stability of the compressed upper shelf of the beam from the wall plane as a centrally compressed rod element without taking into account the reinforcing effect of the joint work of the beam elements. As a result, the bearing capacity of the corrugators is understated. The code of rules for steel structures contains a proven method for calculating I-beam rolling beams for general stability, where the moment of inertia of the beam section with pure torsion is used. The authors of the article propose to extend this method of calculation to the calculation of beams with a corrugated wall. The results of testing and calculation of an experimental corrugator for general stability under the action of a uniformly distributed load in the wall plane according to this set of rules using the moment of inertia of the beam section under pure torsion are presented. This parameter was determined by various methods, including analytical methods, numerical modeling in a software package, and experimental data.
Key words: corrugator, overall stability of the beam from the wall plane, moment of inertia of the corrugator for pure torsion. - REFERENCES
