Abstract. Typical defects of bored piles are damages of shaft integrity, such as necking defects, water intrusions etc. They are defined by traditional quality control methods after development of strength, when the defects cannot be eliminated. In this case, the bearing capacity of the foundation is provided by setting of the additional piles. The authors proposed a quality control method, which consists in measuring the electrical conductivity of the concrete mixture. A finely dispersed electrically conductive additive is added to the mixture. For example, this additive is magnetite. The uniformity of distribution of the additive in the concrete mixture is completed by using for addition of suspension and water to a concrete mix. The advantage of the method is the identification and elimination of defects during concreting. Laboratory studies have determined the optimal composition of a finely dispersed additive, and also established the dependence of the specific electrical conductivity of the mixture on the concentration of the additive and the frequency of the alternating current. The results obtained can serve as a scientific basis for the created methods for monitoring the continuity of the bored pile shaft in the process of performing work on the values of the electrical conductivity of the concrete mixture after concreting.
