Abstract. The article considers actual problems of the creation of comfortable microclimatic conditions in the premises of civil buildings in hot and sunny climate on the example of administrative buildings in some Near East countries. It is noted that principles of architectural and constructional design under consideration are based both on the complex approach taking into consideration aspects of microclimatic regimes in premises, as well as on passive (natural) methods of the climatization of internal environment. Some features of architectural-construction solutions of functional types of buildings under the set climatic conditions are presented. For example, a great attention is paid to windows and external sun-protective devices as elements of enclosing structures which, in the great part, determine the conditions of internal environment according to lighting, insolation, and acoustic criteria. A significant part of problems considered in the article was studied and solved as a result of scientific investigations, which were carried out at the "Design of buildings and structures" Department of Moscow State University of Civil Engineering. These investigations conducted, in particular, by postgraduates from the countries with climatic characteristics considered, have every reason to be developed with the aim to introduce these conclusions and recommendations in the practice in the field of ecological and energetic efficiency of design solutions of administrative buildings.
